The DDU-GKY Skilling Ecosystem

The DDU-GKY skilling ecosystem consists of The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) or the National Mission Management Unit (NMMU or NU), State Missions, Project Implementing agencies or training partners and Technical Support Agencies. Curriculum support is through National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and the Sector Skill Councils (SSC) of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Combined with industry partnerships and partnerships with employers, the ecosystem comes together to provide the best possible training and gainful employment for a candidate.

Project Implementation Agency (PIA)

BI Techno Solutions is the project Implementation Agency (PIA) for the DDU-GKY, we are the bridge between DDU-GKY the candidates and employers, we ensure that candidates benefit and provide the tools for transformation. We bring together the right trainers, experts, sector knowledge and infrastructure. We plan and execute projects to build an employable workforce. we conduct awareness building activities such as mobilization camps, job-melas and events etc. we also engage with industry to identify and discover demand for skilled workers, build guest lectures and industry visits and to make sure a trained candidate gets exposure and provide practical training so that an employer gets a ready candidate.

We train the underserved rural youth for employment, we will be able to transform poverty into productivity and aid in the broader economic objectives of the country.

Preferred profile of candidates

In order to fulfill its objective of catering to the underserved or deprived, DDU-GKY is uniquely focused on rural youth between the ages of 15 and 35 years from poor families, as can be identified through.

  • MGNREGA worker households, with a minimum of 15 days of completed work in the previous year.
  •  Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) households.
  •  Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) card or BPL PDS card holding households.
  •  Self Help Group (SHG) households.
  •  NRLM-Self Help Group households.
  •  Special projects for special groups such as victims of trafficking, manual scavengers, trans-genders, rehabilitated bonded labour and other vulnerable groups.

We focus on Social Inclusion as an important component and prefer projects that are comprised of, SC/ST: 50%, Minorities: 15%, Women: 33%, Persons with Disabilities: 3%
